Who was crowned when the galaxy voted for the all-time greatest Elvis fan?
Yep,I was the one.

Okay, I admit that a few of his movies may not be Academy Award worthy; for example, I’d rather enjoy an evening of hemorrhoids than watch “Harum Scarum.”
But most are quite enjoyable like the one where he was a race car driver or nightclub singer ...
The real joys of an Elvis Presley movie are in the songs. Often ridiculed, I find many to be fun and enjoyable with catchy lyrics and beats.
Narrowing it down to my favorite 10 was more of a job than I thought it would be. But I’ve tried! I had to leave out some of my favorites like “Spinout,” “Lover Doll,” “King Creole,” “Queenie Waheenie’s Papaya,” “Do the Clam,” “Little Egypt,” “Rock-a-hula Baby,”“Bossa Nova Baby” and “Blue Hawaii.”
But I will now attempt to list my Top 10 Favorite Elvis movie songs:
10. Teddy Bear: A classic song from his second movie, “Lovin’ You.” I never get tired of hearing this one! I have a cat named Tiger and he does play too rough.
9. Lovin’ You: Bonus points if you know which movie this was from. In Deke Rivers the audience was introduced to the world of early Elvismania.
8. Can’t Help Falling in Love: One of his most popular; and often used to close his shows. This one always makes me sentimental. Some things are meant to be.
7. (You’re so Square) Baby I Don’t Care: I like it,I love it,I want some more of it. This is just one of the great songs from his third film “Jailhouse Rock.”
6. I’ll Be Back: Although he has to travel and hit the gravel, The King promises that he’ll be back at the end of “Spinout.”
5. You Don’t Know Me: Others have done it, like Eddy Arnold but none did it better. As he unknowingly sings to the girl he loves Elvis shows the heartfelt lament of every would-be Valentino. Gonna have a "Clambake!"
4. Return to Sender: From “Girls! Girls! Girls” a broken-heart song that doesn’t get you down. Your legs just want to shake and your hips swivel.
3. Didja Ever?: “G. I. Blues” features several great songs – like “Wooden Heart” and the title track– but I love this one. Wish it got played more often! We’ve all one of those days!
2. Love Me Tender: Elvis’ first movie was going to be called “The Reno Brothers” until this song zoomed up the charts. For some reason the released record cut one of the stanzas from the movie: “Love me tender love me when we are far apart, for I will love you even then deep within my heart.”
1. Jailhouse Rock: If the warden ever throws a party when I’m in the county jail I’ll be too busy Jailhouse Rocking to escape! My favorite song presentation in any Elvis movie – and he did the choreography himself!
Well there they are my top 10! If I left any of them out it’s because I forgot to remember to forget!
